Global Warming with Balkadan

Je suis tombé il y a déjà un certain temps sur Gal Kadan ( Balkadan), un étudiant de Jérusalem pas mal allumé qui fait un show à la radio universitaire Mt Scopus et qui rédige un blog que je suit régulièrement. Il organise aussi des soirées mensuelles qui ont l’air absolumnent géniale qui se nomment “Balkan Rave” dans un club appellé Hakatze. Chaque soirée comporte un invité spécial. Pour vous donner une idée du genre de party que ça donne, ils ont enregistrés une cinquantaine de minutes d’un set de Balkadan et Noam, collègue d’université accordéoniste avec qui il a déjà fait partie d’un petit ensemble klezmer. J’adore le réultat. Mélange hautement festif et très dansant. Évidemment ça vient des Balkans.

I stumbled some time ago on Gal Kadan (Balkadan), a Jerusalem student who host a university radio show at Mt. Scopus University. He do monthly partys titles “Balkan Rave” in a Jerusalem club called Hakatze running for almost a year now and usually feature a guest artist (last party they had a bellydancer). They recorded about 50 minutes of a wild set of him as the DJ and an accordionist named Noam with whom he used to have a small klezmer band playing at events in Israel. They are both students at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Listen to that above. Lovin it.
